8440A 17″ CNC Benchtop Lathe System Package A

Sherline 8440A
Turning (lathe) F2 · Intermediate

The 8440A is the entry point of the 8440 CNC series: it includes the 17″ benchtop lathe with stepper motors fitted, an Ubuntu PC with LinuxCNC pre-installed, and an integrated 4-axis driver board, but with the most basic accessory package in the line — a 3-jaw chuck and a tailstock drill chuck. This configuration targets buyers who already own turning accessories or prefer to source them separately, and assumes a working knowledge of G-code programming and CNC turning operations characteristic of advanced hobbyists and small precision workshops.
