5000-CNC/5100-CNC 10" Tabletop Mill CNC-Ready
The Sherline 5000-CNC/5100-CNC is the CNC-ready 10" tabletop mill: 220 × 76 × 159 mm of travel and a 70–2800 rpm spindle with a No. 1 Morse taper and stated runout of 0.013 mm or less. Against the 5400-CNC it has 76 mm of Y travel instead of 127, but its column rotates, pivots and travels 140 mm in and out, which suits angled work on small parts. Motors, drivers, controller and software are not included: this is a machine for a retrofit, not a ready-to-run CNC.

Ecosystem
Software
The machine arrives without electronics: the axes are prepared for stepper motors and the choice of controller (GRBL, Mach3, LinuxCNC) and CAM is up to the buyer. Sherline sells its own complete CNC kits separately.
