Accu-Pro Turn Ball Screw Lathe with MASSO G3 Touch Controller

Sherline 696840M
Turning (lathe) F2 · Intermediate

This benchtop CNC lathe combines ball screws, 36 V closed-loop stepper motors, and a standalone MASSO G3 touchscreen controller — a technical package that goes well beyond entry-level hobby use. The rigid aluminium base, C5 spindle bearings, and C7-grade ball screw accuracy all assume practical G-code programming skills and toolsetting experience typical of an operator with hands-on CNC background. The machine suits small professional workshops, watchmakers, precision model builders, and advanced hobbyists engaged in systematic metal cutting.

Software

The MASSO G3 Touch is a self-contained CNC controller with a touchscreen display that requires no dedicated PC during machining. G-code programs are authored on any operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) and transferred via USB flash drive. The controller supports G-code spindle speed control, threading, and built-in conversational programming. WiFi is included as standard. No specific software is required on the host computer: the MASSO G3 handles program execution, axis management, and homing sensor control independently.

Reviews from those who use this machine every day will be available in the next version of the platform.
