6840 17″ Ball Screw Benchtop Lathe
A CNC-ready benchtop lathe with ball screws, solid 6061 aluminium base, and reinforced saddle: a mechanical platform well above entry-level, intended for users who plan to integrate their own stepper motors and CNC controller. The base configuration ships without a controller or driver box, which assumes the buyer has working knowledge of CNC systems and the wiring and software setup they require. The machine targets advanced hobbyists, prototypers, and small workshops engaged in consistent metal cutting.

Software
The 6840 is a CNC-ready machine: no controller is included in the base configuration. Buyers may choose from a 4-axis Linux driver box (with LinuxCNC), the Sherline/Acorn controller (based on Centroid CNC12, which supports Intercon conversational CAM), or any third-party controller compatible with NEMA 23 stepper motors. The MASSO G3 Touch is not available as an option on this model and is exclusive to the Accu-Pro line. G-code programs can be generated on any operating system using third-party CAM software.
Reviews from those who use this machine every day will be available in the next version of the platform.
