Software notes The controller is compatible with GRBL 1.1h, an open protocol. It works with GRBL firmware software such as UGS and Candle; Carveco Maker is compatible on Windows only. A bundle with V-Carve Desktop is available as an option. The machine ships without electronics and without software: the axes are prepared for stepper motors, so the choice of controller (GRBL, Mach3, LinuxCNC) and CAM is up to the buyer. Sherline sells its own complete CNC kits separately.
