The differences that matter
- Price: the K1 costs €120 less than the P1S → more budget for filament or accessories.
- Multicolor printing: only the P1S offers it, with the AMS as an accessory, up to 16 colors.
- Build area: 256×256 mm on the P1S against 220×220 mm on the K1 → the P1S prints larger single parts.
- Firmware: only the K1 has native Klipper → direct access to profiles and calibration.
Which one to choose
Choose P1S if…
You need multicolor printing: with the AMS the P1S handles up to 16 colors, something the K1 doesn't offer, on a larger build area (256×256 mm versus 220×220 mm). You pay the higher price of the two.
Choose K1 if…
Price or firmware control matter more than multicolor: the K1 costs €120 less than the P1S and runs native Klipper, with a higher stated speed (600 mm/s versus 500). The build area is smaller and multicolor printing isn't supported.
