Software notes The native software is Bambu Studio, available for Windows and macOS, with advanced slicing and direct integration of the machine's proprietary features. The printer is also compatible with third-party slicers that export standard G-code (PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, Cura), though some advanced functions — including AMS control, Vision Encoder calibration, and chamber management — may be unavailable or only partially supported outside the Bambu ecosystem. The X1E works with Bambu Studio, Bambu Lab's proprietary slicer, which handles slicing, automatic calibration, and remote monitoring via the Bambu Handy app. Orca Slicer, an open-source Bambu Studio fork with dedicated profiles, is also supported. The firmware is proprietary; Klipper is not natively supported. The printer can run in LAN-only mode, operating fully without an internet connection through the local network.
