Anycubic Kobra S1 vs Anycubic Kobra S1 Max
Technical comparison · Fused filament fabrication (FFF/FDM)
Same architecture in two sizes: both are CoreXY, enclosed, with Klipper-based firmware. The choice is whether your parts fit within 250 mm or need up to 350 mm, and whether that is worth about €150 more.

| Software notes | The Kobra OS firmware is based on Klipper and controlled via a proprietary touch interface. The official slicer is Anycubic Slicer Next (derived from OrcaSlicer, available for Windows and macOS), but it also supports third-party OrcaSlicer. Remote control is possible via the Anycubic app (iOS/Android) over a local network, with no mandatory cloud connection for daily operations. | The firmware runs on a proprietary Kobra OS layer built on top of Klipper; the official slicer is Anycubic Slicer Next, derived from OrcaSlicer, available for Windows and macOS. Third-party OrcaSlicer is also supported. Remote monitoring and control are available via the Anycubic app (iOS/Android) over LAN, with no mandatory cloud connection required for ordinary printing operations. Unlike the Combo version, the ACE 2 Pro module is not included in the box. |
The differences that matter
- Volume 350×350×350 mm vs 250×250×250 mm → a 30 cm part fits only the S1 Max.
- Maximum colors 8 vs 4, with the multicolor module → multicolor goes further on the S1; on the S1 Max the module is not supplied.
- Nozzle 350 °C vs 320 °C → extra headroom only on the S1 Max for materials that call for high temperature.
- Price €549 vs about €699 → about €150 for 100 mm more on every side.
Which one to choose
Choose Kobra S1 if…
Parts within 250×250×250 mm and multicolor prints up to 8 colors with the dedicated module. It costs €549 and suits anyone for whom volume is not the bottleneck. You give up anything over 25 cm, and the nozzle stops at 320 °C.
Choose Kobra S1 Max if…
Parts up to 350 mm per side, nozzle up to 350 °C. It costs about €699, and the ACE 2 Pro multicolor module is not in the box (it comes with the Combo version), with a maximum of 4 colors against the S1's 8.
