The differences that matter
- Colors: up to 8 against 1 → on the Kobra one part can carry several colors, on the Ender-5 Max it cannot.
- Z height: 500 mm against 400 mm → objects taller than 400 mm fit only in the Kobra.
- Kinematics and bed: Cartesian and 90 °C against CoreXY and 110 °C → the Ender-5 Max heats its bed higher.
- Price: €774 against €450 → about €325 more for the Kobra.
Which one to choose
Choose Kobra 3 Max Combo if…
you print large multicolor parts, up to 420×420 mm on the bed and 500 mm tall, with the ACE Pro system handling filament changes and drying. You pay about €325 more, the bed reaches 90 °C against 110 °C and the kinematics are Cartesian.
Choose Ender-5 Max if…
you print single-color parts up to 400×400×400 mm and want to save about €325. It is CoreXY, with a bed up to 110 °C, and the declared 700 mm/s peak is a nameplate value, not everyday speed. It works with Creality Print, Orca Slicer or PrusaSlicer.
