WeCreat Lumos vs xTool F2

Technical comparison · Fiber laser (1064 nm)

In brief

Lumos is the cheapest in its class. Lumos leads on the available specs (starting with price); F2 makes sense only for non-technical reasons (availability, support, ecosystem), or if the missing data matters in your case.

Software notes WeCreat states a free application, an HD camera and real-time preview for positioning the workpiece. The name of the software and the importable formats are not declared on the official pages, and LightBurn compatibility is not declared either, unlike on the Vision and the Vista: anyone coming from another machine cannot take for granted that their own job settings will carry over. The F2 is only compatible with xTool Creative Space (a proprietary protocol); LightBurn is not officially supported. The integrated camera positioning feature is only available within xTool Creative Space. The simplified interface reduces setup time in on-site scenarios, but precludes integration into existing LightBurn-based workflows and limits access to advanced job queuing and exportable custom material libraries. For a user with multiple machines already running LightBurn, the closed protocol represents a material operational discontinuity.
