Software notes The system includes an Ubuntu Linux computer with LinuxCNC preinstalled for 4-axis control, with the driver board and power supply already fitted. The tailstock spindle remains manually controlled. Utilities to convert CAD files or TrueType fonts into G-code are included; only a monitor must be supplied. The lathe ships CNC-ready: NEMA 23 motor mounts and ball screws on both X and Z axes are factory-installed, but axis motors, drivers, control box, and software are not included and must be sourced separately. Compatible with common motion-control platforms such as Mach3, Mach4, and LinuxCNC. The ER16 spindle accepts collets up to 3/8 in. (9.5 mm), compatible with the standard ER16 series.
