Original Prusa MK4S

Prusa Research MK4S 2025

A 999€ assembled, the MK4S is the only bed-slinger with a declared return rate below 1% and 10-year spare parts guarantee, choice for workshops and makers printing over 100 hours/month and tolerating no downtime. Compared to a Bambu Lab P1S (699€), it doesn't offer enclosure or CoreXY speed, but avoids mandatory cloud ecosystems and allows comprehensive maintenance down to the individual bearing, a decisive difference for those managing fleets or operating on isolated networks.

Software

PrusaSlicer (optimized) and Prusa Connect for remote control. The machine accepts G-code from any slicer (Cura, Simplify3D) and communicates via USB, Ethernet or Wi-Fi using an open Marlin-based protocol. Compatible with OctoPrint and offline management. Does not require a Prusa account to print, unlike machines with proprietary firmware that block features without connection.

Reviews from those who use this machine every day will be available in the next version of the platform.
