| Software notes | The MASSO G3 Touch is a self-contained CNC controller with a touchscreen display that requires no dedicated PC during machining. G-code programs are authored on any operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) and transferred via USB flash drive. The controller supports G-code spindle speed control, threading, and built-in conversational programming. WiFi is included as standard. No specific software is required on the host computer: the MASSO G3 handles program execution, axis management, and homing sensor control independently. | The machine ships with a Mach 3 license, the Windows-based CAM/control software commonly used on CNC lathes and mills in this class. Mach 3 requires a PC with a parallel (LPT) port or a compatible motion control card; it is not compatible with macOS or Linux. A separate CAM application (e.g. Fusion 360, BobCAD) is needed to generate G-code. |
