Software notes PrusaSlicer (optimized) and Prusa Connect for remote control. The machine accepts G-code from any slicer (Cura, Simplify3D) and communicates via USB, Ethernet or Wi-Fi using an open Marlin-based protocol. Compatible with OctoPrint and offline management. Does not require a Prusa account to print, unlike machines with proprietary firmware that block features without connection. The proprietary Snapmaker Luban software is designed to manage all three main functions of the machine (3D printing, laser processing, and CNC routing) within a single interface, significantly simplifying the workflow for users approaching mixed manufacturing. For pure 3D printing, the control board still accepts standard G-code generated by third-party slicers such as Ultimaker Cura or PrusaSlicer, providing advanced users with greater control over specific extrusion and movement settings.
