| Software notes | The printer operates with Klipper firmware pre-installed on a 64-bit ARM processor, enabling advanced standard features like input shaping and pressure advance. The user interface is managed via a removable capacitive touchscreen and a dedicated web interface (Fluidd or Mainsail) for remote control and monitoring via Wi-Fi or LAN connection. For file preparation, the machine is compatible with major slicers on the market, including Elegoo Cura (bundled by the manufacturer), UltiMaker Cura, PrusaSlicer, and OrcaSlicer. | Natively compatible with PrusaSlicer (based on Slic3r, open-source), but it works with any slicer able to generate Marlin-flavored G-code, such as Cura, ideaMaker or Simplify3D. The firmware is a Prusa-modified Marlin 2, fully open: no lock-in to proprietary software or protocols. The user has full control over the machine, but PrusaSlicer is recommended for optimal performance, as it includes exclusive profiles and features like dynamic flow calibration. |

Which one to choose
Choose Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus if…
you value price, work area and maximum z height. «The Z height determines how tall a part the machine can produce in one print. Vertical objects such as vases, load-bearing structures, or casting patterns require a high Z travel. A lower value does not affect quality but forces the user to split or reorient the model. Z height should be considered alongside the XY surface to assess total usable build volume.»
Choose CORE One+ if…
you value maximum colors, closed chamber and multicolor printing. «The maximum number of colors indicates how many distinct color zones or materials can be used in one print without manual intervention. Two colors cover most practical uses, including soluble support. Higher values are useful for complex decorative models or color-coded prototypes. Each additional color increases print time due to transition purges, so the practical benefit should be weighed against the added time cost.»
