Software notes The system includes a PC running Ubuntu Linux with LinuxCNC pre-installed, along with a 4-axis driver board built into the computer chassis. A CD with complete instructions and utilities to convert CAD files and TrueType fonts into G-code is included. The operator must supply an external monitor; keyboard and mouse are provided. LinuxCNC is an open-source CNC control package running real-time on the Linux kernel and is compatible with standard G-code formats. The 4029CR ships without a controller or software: the control system integration is entirely the user's responsibility. It is compatible with common solutions in the Taig and DIY builder ecosystem, including Mach3, Mach4, and LinuxCNC, paired with NEMA 23 motor drivers (motor mounts are included). Software choice depends entirely on the control hardware selected.
