XL vs Q1 Pro
Technical comparison · Fused filament fabrication (FFF/FDM)
XL and Q1 Pro are not direct competitors: very different prices (~3×). Q1 Pro costs less (~€599) and is the entry-level choice; XL offers more capability at a higher price (~€1800). Judge them by budget, not head-to-head.

| Software notes | Compatible with PrusaSlicer (open source, with material profiles verified and maintained by Prusa Research), OrcaSlicer, and SuperSlicer, as well as any slicer that exports standard G-code. The firmware is based on Prusa Research's open-source Marlin fork, with input shaping support. Unlike Bambu Lab models, which use a partially proprietary protocol and work best with Bambu Studio, the CORE One L accepts generic G-code via USB, SD card, and PrusaConnect. The user is not locked into a single software ecosystem and can freely modify or update the firmware. | Running on native Klipper firmware, the machine offers an open and accessible control interface via local network (Fluidd or Mainsail). It is natively compatible with QIDI Slicer (derived from PrusaSlicer/Orca), but easily supports all major third-party slicers. It includes advanced features such as input shaping and automatic calibration to maximize print quality at high speeds without requiring registration to proprietary cloud services. |
