Software notes Compatible with Artillery Slicer and Cura; the Marlin firmware accepts standard G-code, so it works with PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, OrcaSlicer. WiFi file transfer does not offer a Klipper web interface, limiting remote monitoring and real-time adjustments. The printer is natively compatible with PrusaSlicer, an open-source slicer with official tested profiles for all supported materials; OrcaSlicer profiles are also available. The firmware is Prusa-proprietary (STM32/xBuddy-based) with no native Klipper support. Remote management is available via Prusa Connect (optional cloud platform) or over the local network; offline printing from USB is fully supported with no functional limitations.

Which one to choose

Choose Artillery Sidewinder X4 Plus if…

you value price and maximum z height. «The Z height determines how tall a part the machine can produce in one print. Vertical objects such as vases, load-bearing structures, or casting patterns require a high Z travel. A lower value does not affect quality but forces the user to split or reorient the model. Z height should be considered alongside the XY surface to assess total usable build volume.»

Choose Original Prusa XL 5-toolhead 3D Printer - Enclosure Bundle if…

you value work area and max bed temperature. «A heated bed reduces the thermal gradient between the part and the environment, limiting warping and delamination. Up to 60 °C covers PLA and flexible materials. Between 80 and 110 °C it enables PETG, ABS, and ASA. Above 110 °C it is necessary for PC and high-temperature technical materials. Bed temperature should be evaluated alongside nozzle temperature: a high-rated bed adds little value if the nozzle cannot reach the corresponding threshold.»
