Artillery M1 Pro S1 vs Bambu Lab P1S

Technical comparison · Fused filament fabrication (FFF/FDM)

In brief

M1 Pro S1 leads on the available specs (starting with price); P1S makes sense only for non-technical reasons (availability, support, ecosystem), or if the missing data matters in your case.

Ecosystem
Cloud dependency No No
Software notes Artillery OS, a Klipper-based system. Compatible with standard slicers like Cura, PrusaSlicer and OrcaSlicer via G-code. Supports Wi-Fi transfer, SD card and touchscreen control. Compared to closed platforms, it allows advanced adjustment of printing parameters, but lacks a native cloud ecosystem and requires manual slicer configuration. The P1S is managed through Bambu Studio, Bambu Lab's proprietary slicer available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, or via OrcaSlicer, the widely adopted open-source fork that provides finer parameter control. The Bambu Handy mobile app enables remote monitoring and print launching. The printer supports local LAN connections without a mandatory cloud account, though some advanced features — such as remote timelapses and OTA firmware updates — require a Bambu account.
