Software notes Equipped with Kobra OS, a Klipper-based firmware, controllable via a 4.3-inch touchscreen. Compatible with Anycubic Slicer and third-party software like OrcaSlicer. Features Wi-Fi for remote control via app. Multicolor printing requires the ACE Pro module, sold separately. The printer operates with Klipper firmware pre-installed on a 64-bit ARM processor, enabling advanced standard features like input shaping and pressure advance. The user interface is managed via a removable capacitive touchscreen and a dedicated web interface (Fluidd or Mainsail) for remote control and monitoring via Wi-Fi or LAN connection. For file preparation, the machine is compatible with major slicers on the market, including Elegoo Cura (bundled by the manufacturer), UltiMaker Cura, PrusaSlicer, and OrcaSlicer.

Which one to choose

Choose Kobra 3 Max 3D Printer if…

you value maximum colors, work area and maximum z height. «The maximum number of colors indicates how many distinct color zones or materials can be used in one print without manual intervention. Two colors cover most practical uses, including soluble support. Higher values are useful for complex decorative models or color-coded prototypes. Each additional color increases print time due to transition purges, so the practical benefit should be weighed against the added time cost.»

Choose Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus if…

you value price and max bed temperature. «A heated bed reduces the thermal gradient between the part and the environment, limiting warping and delamination. Up to 60 °C covers PLA and flexible materials. Between 80 and 110 °C it enables PETG, ABS, and ASA. Above 110 °C it is necessary for PC and high-temperature technical materials. Bed temperature should be evaluated alongside nozzle temperature: a high-rated bed adds little value if the nozzle cannot reach the corresponding threshold.»
